Visiting the website

This website is provided through ChatGPT Sites. For users in the European Economic Area, the data processor is OpenAI Ireland Ltd; the technical infrastructure uses Cloudflare, among other services. The ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum governs this processing. Technically necessary connection data, such as IP address, time, requested address and browser information, is processed to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You do not need a ChatGPT account to use the guest view. Sign-in is intended for the protected host area.

Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Under the Data Processing Addendum, such transfers are based on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, in particular standard contractual clauses. The technical providers determine the retention periods required for operation and security; storage exclusively within Europe is not guaranteed.

Questions and guestbook

When you save an outstanding question, we store the question, its assigned apartment and the time. For guestbook entries, we also store the first name or pseudonym you choose to provide, your message and any permission to publish it. We use this data to handle your message and maintain the guest information (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; for specific booking enquiries, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Guestbook entries are initially visible only to the host. They are displayed publicly only with your voluntary consent and after approval (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time by email with effect for the future. Private guestbook entries are automatically deleted after 180 days the next time the website is used. Approved entries remain visible until you withdraw consent or the host deletes them. Outstanding questions are retained until they have been addressed and any necessary follow-up completed; you may request their deletion. Please do not enter access codes or other people's data.

Cookies and device settings

The application code contains no analytics or advertising trackers. Technically necessary functions provided by the hosting provider ensure secure delivery. Your language is stored in the browser session for your current visit. It is only saved locally for up to 180 days if you explicitly request this. The season, cover image and seasonal recommendations adjust automatically to the calendar; no manual season choice is stored for this purpose. The “Save apartment” feature stores selected apartments on your device for up to 365 days from the last time you save one. This does not send any personal notes to the host. Storage serves the function you have explicitly requested (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG); where personal data is involved, the legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b or f DSGVO (GDPR). You can delete saved settings here or through your browser.

Feedback via WhatsApp

When you report a problem or share feedback, the apartment, the selected report type and your message are assembled into a WhatsApp message on your device. This form does not save the report on our server. WhatsApp opens only when you click; you send the message yourself there and can add photos. We process your enquiry to support your stay or respond to your concern (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Messages are retained while we handle the matter and complete any necessary follow-up, then deleted unless statutory retention requirements prevent this. Please do not send access codes or other people's data.

Interactive parking and charging map

The parking and charging map uses locally hosted OpenStreetMap data. Displaying the map does not load map tiles from external providers or request your location. Google Maps opens only when you select a route; the selected destination and, for walking routes, the selected starting point are then transmitted.

External links, bookings and apps

Google Maps, WhatsApp, Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Viator, the app stores and, where applicable, Smoobu open only when you actively select the relevant link or booking form. The data necessary to open the service is then transferred to the respective provider. For WhatsApp, form details are first assembled into a message only on your device; you send it yourself there. Further processing is subject to the respective provider's privacy notice. Video tutorials and apartment photos are served directly from this website. No analytics or advertising trackers are built into the application code.

Affiliate links to tours and activities

Links to GetYourGuide and Viator marked as advertising contain our affiliate ID. If you book through them, we may receive a commission. No tracking script is loaded on our website for this purpose. Only when you open the link does the provider receive connection data and the affiliate ID; cookies or similar technologies may be used on its website to attribute the booking. The provider's notices apply to their use and your choices. We do not receive any issue reports or guestbook messages you enter in the guest guide through these links.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision.
